Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. This will be the second time around for my team. It is an amazing feeling to contribute to such a worthy cause and there was no question that we would do it again this year (even though the last day last year we walked in very cold rain in August, it is Cleveland after all)! While walking that last leg of our journey last year I heard someone say, “This might be tough and uncomfortable, but it is soooo much easier than chemo.” Hearing that made everything really clear and there was no question about whether or not to do this again. We are lucky enough to have a choice to walk and to try and help prevent another woman, or man from having to go through that. We are healthy enough to have the choice to help contribute so that another family doesn’t have to lose a mother or a sister. We were walking with survivors, those women whose lives have been saved in part by the research and donations. If you are unable to walk yourself you can help by donating, every single cent gets us closer to a cure! Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
