Don’t let the name fool you. Suck! Clothing happens to be a pretty awesome clothing line, and we’re not just saying that because we print it. (but how can you go wrong with Suck! Clothing’s sweet designs and our printing know-how?) Okay, enough of the self-promotion, let’s get back to Suck! Clothing.

Suck! Clothing is based in town called Pavullo. “If I’ve never heard of it,” you think to yourself, “…it probably sucks.” But have you by chance heard of ITALY? Yeah, because that’s where Pavullo is: Northern Italy. Not so sucky now, huh?

The illustrations “Mobster” and “Pizza Man” are simple 3-color and 2-color designs, respectively. By using large halftone dots within the drawing (think newspaper comics) they are able to achieve more shading and dimension with a single color.

Suck! Clothing is always pumping out new designs, and they cater to both men and women. They use a variety of apparel, but seem partial to American Apparel, and often print on the AA 2001 Fine Jersey Short Sleeve T-Shirt.

Here’s a close up of “Italian Stallion” which shows the detail we are able to retain using soft inks. This mini pizza is only 1.25 inches wide!

This design titled “YetiBeard” is printed on both men’s American Apparel and the AA women’s 2102 Fine Jersey Short Sleeve T.

These shirts show a great way to utilize the include the apparel color when creating a shirt design. “Suck Cereal” is only four ink colors: black, white, pink (PMS 812), and light blue (PMS 7457), but the color palette really comes together when printed on American Apparel’s “Galaxy” blue.

Suck! Clothing creates designs in a variety of styles, from illustrations to photo-realistic; they keep it interesting and fresh, which makes our job as their printer, even more enjoyable. “Vintage” shirt uses a 5-color print with large stylized halftone dots, and “Sweet Tooth” is printed with a 9-color simulation.

Our photo-realistic prints are set-apart from other printers by the talented people in our Apparel Pre-press Department. Here’s a detail of the 9-color simulation on “Sweet Tooth”.
Thanks again to Suck! Clothing for being an amazing client, we’re looking forward to more exciting designs and we’ll keep you posted. Check out more Suck! Clothing online at suckmystar.bigcartel.com.
