The National Association of Music Merchants — better known as NAMM – is a nonprofit organization that unifies the music product industry. They’re able to work with everyone from international heavy hitters like ESP to your local mom-and-pop guitar shop up the road. Their conventions are filled with everything new and exciting in the industry, it’s the CES of the music world, and The NAMM 2012 Show was no different.
More than 100,000 music industry veterans descended on Anaheim, CA last weekend for the largest music retailer convention in the world. Music legends such as Slash, Tommy Lee, Alice Cooper, David Crosby, Stephen Adler and Bootsy Collins were onsite for demos.

Consumer Electronics Show Wrap-Up

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2012, aka Gadget Country, features every new electronic device you can imagine. We had a blast talking with the realistic, life-sized robots. Celebrities, like Justin Bieber, Tom Hanks, Jillian Michaels and – everybody’s favorite tech guru — Snooki, flocked to the event to help launch and promote products. One of the coolest products we saw was Sphero, a ball that you control with your iPhone or Android, a combination of real life and gaming all in one. The air was energetic as tech bloggers, media personalities and taste makers clamored to get a hands-on experience with all of this year’s newest gadgets.

Jak Of All Trades Fest: The Gift That Keeps Giving
Share · Posted by Ted-Jakprints in World Of Jak
Faber-Castell created a fantastic, interactive tent at Jak Of All Trades Fest 2011 and filled it with their first-class art supplies. In fact, they were so generous that we were left with a whole box of unused materials. It’s unfortunate that school budgets are so underfunded, particularly their art departments. So, we rang up Brooklyn City Schools, Ohio, and they were ecstatic. Pictured is Jakprints’ own Monica Saylor handing over the donation to the middle school’s art department and their giddy art students.
If you’d like to help out a school in need, click DonorsChoose.org. A great organization for raising funds for schools in dire need.

We love supporting local events, especially when it helps out our good friends at Scene Magazine. The Warehouse District was alive with martinis, vodka, beer, burlesque dancers and cupcakes — such a great time!

Dewey Beach Music Conference
September 22-24
Dewey Beach, DE
A fantastic, three-day music conference in beautiful Dewey Beach. Jakprints is always looking for opportunities to help musicians market their band affordably and DBF didn’t disappoint.

Tarfest
Sunday, September 25
La Brea Tar Pits, CA
When longtime friends approached us about sponsoring this event, we couldn’t resist. In its ninth year, the free indie art and music celebration was fantastic with live music, live art mural installations, biergarden, food trucks and a kids interactive corner.
As always, we were stoked to help create and produce much needed pieces for each event. For Very Vodka’s VIPs, we screen printed two colors on a black Tultex (0803LB) Tote Bag – a clean, classy look. Dewey Beach went all out with three military-inspired bags [Rothco Classic Paratrooper Shoulder bag (9128), Rothco Olive Drab HW Classic Messenger Bag (9148), Authentic Pigment Canvas Field Bag (1902)] and a distressed one color print, they created the ultimate old-but-new bag.
Tarfest got to work with our entire company: large format banners on outdoor vinyl; promo Posters and Postcards; T-Shirts for all five bands; VIP Laminate Passes and some amazing Full Color Stickers.

Jak Of All Trades Fest – Giving To Charity
Share · Posted by Monica Saylor in Fun Stuff, News, World Of Jak
Our Jak Of All Trades Fest set a goal to raise money for our local charities and neighbors — MidTown Cleveland and the Community Greenhouse Partners — and we did it! We raised $2000 for each charity with our raffle prizes and beer donations. We were so excited about the donation that we had to print big checks, just like Ed McMahon!
What an amazing feeling to gather so much support for these wonderful charities and for Cleveland!
