We love seeing new creative uses for everyday products. So, you can imagine our excitement when Spicher and Co. came to us with the idea to use Record Jackets to package their rad, vintage-inspired vinyl floorcloths.
Spicher and Co. started as a way to showcase the paintings of Kolene Spicher — artist and founder Mark Spicher’s wife — and are a high-end manufacturer of framed artwork and home goods. Vintage Vinyl (a division of Spicher and Co.) began producing vinyl floorcloths (or floor mats) that feature patterns and colors with a luscious vintage aesthetic. The company draws inspiration from historic, hand painted canvas floorcloths and vintage kitchen linoleum to create their groovy, fun products that have modern durability. Vintage patterns and vinyl records are both making a comeback in this blast from the past product.

Jakprints employees are artists, musicians, photographers and creators that know a thing or two about the creative process. With a staff full of creative people, we understand what a piece of art means to the artist. No one wants their work to be presented on anything less than the best, and that’s where we come in. We understand that you want reproductions of your art to reflect the time and attention you put into each piece.
Giclee prints are perfect for reproducing your drawings, paintings, digital art and photographs accurately. But what exactly is a giclee print? What sets it apart from other types of printing? We know technical talk can get complicated, so we turned to Giclee Manager, Jennifer Young, to break it down for us.
So you want some rad custom stickers, (who doesn’t?) but you’re not quite sure which sticker is going to be best for you? Well, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve compiled a list of common questions that can quickly guide you to the right type of sticker sticker for your needs so you don’t find yourself in a sticky situation.
Quantity? A lot or a little?
The first questions to answer on the path to the sticker of your dreams.
Roll Stickers which come in high quantities are the most economical option. These stickers are available on a variety of substrates such as clear, white and yellow vinyl, paper and foil stocks. Typically clocking in around 10-20 cents per sticker these will be the most inexpensive option for larger quantities of 500 or more.
Your art deserves a color-accurate, tack-sharp print that will last a lifetime. Giclees are the go-to source for museum prints for a reason: Few other prints accurately reproduce drawings, paintings, photographs, prints and digital art. So many artists we talk with are confused by giclees: what makes them different than other art prints, what’s with all these weird terms and what the hell does giclee mean, anyway?
Technically, giclees are just ink jet prints. And, some unscrupulous vendors will just sell you any overpriced ink jet print and call it a day. What truly separates an inkjet print, like your home printer, from a giclee is the number and quality of the inks. Instead of a standard 4 dye-based inks (CMYK), giclee printers use 8-12 pigment-based inks (like traditional printmaking inks or fine art paint). This creates more vibrant colors and allow you to reproduce a larger color range (gamut).
We’re printmakers and craftsman, so we carry on the legacy of outstanding quality by using incredible people, people who are well versed in traditional methods to ensure each print is created with our high expectations of detail, color and saturation. Each print is hand cut to size and carefully packaged in acid-free and PH-balanced tissue paper.
Tradeshows are one of the best places to present your brand to new customers and contacts. If you’re not paying extra attention to the little things, you could find your booth struggling to gain interest — and you’ll be stuck wondering why.
We sat down with Jakprints’ Co-Founder and tradeshow whiz, Dameon Guess, for advice on starting the show confidently and impressing attendees. Dameon has attended many tradeshows over the years — ever since Jakprints was born in 1999!

But, any company can toss around green buzzwords; that’s why we’ve partnered with Trees for the Future to plant one tree with every order. They work with local farmers in Latin America, Africa and Asia to rebuild communities and cultivate more diverse, productive and healthy land. Since 2012, we’ve already planted over 200,000 trees — that’s more than one square mile of new forest. Enough about us, you’re here for you aren’t you?
You’re working hard to put yourself out there, but if you’re a new brand–advertising can prove to be a lot more expensive than you thought. You’re not even sure where to begin promoting, especially in a cheap manner that won’t bleed you dry. All you have to do is create promotional products that won’t cost a fortune.
We like to have the opportunity to not only help our clients grow but grow with them. With printing, you can always adjust the specs of what you need to be printed so it can fit any budget–you can get your money’s worth and start building sales.
A trusty method of promoting: Custom flyers are a foolproof way to brand in excess on the cheap. Store windows, car windshields, and telephone poles are just the beginning; your only limit is the size of your street team.
