Juxtapoz Clubhouse 2018
This week the Jakprints team is headed south in search of warmer weather and good times with our friends from Juxtapoz Magazine and Superchief Gallery.
Now, we aren’t your average midwest-snowbirds flying to Florida to escape the harsh winter temperatures of northeast Ohio. Instead of relaxing on the beach and soaking up some rays, our crew will be pulling squeegees and pushing ink from 12-8 each day at the Official Juxtapoz Pop-Up Shop located at 48 East Flagler Street in Downtown Miami, Florida, December 5th through the 9th. In addition to live screen printing, we’ll have a variety of exclusive Juxtapoz and Superchief merchandise for sale including T-Shirts, Tote Bags, Stickers, Lighters, Pocket Notes, Sharpies and Ash Trays, all printed by us here at Jakprints!
This year Juxtapoz Magazine has teamed up with Mana Contemporary to bring an entire multi-block district to life with a week-long, multi-venue event.
Juxtapoz will be curating seven storefronts from 32-60 SE 1st street, along with a whole pop-up gallery with selected artists in the arcade at 48 E Flagler Street which is where you can find us (and these sweet sticker packs) right smack in the middle of the all the action.
The Juxtapoz Clubhouse 2018 will feature an all-felt shop by UK artist Lucy Sparrow, a psychedelic video installation by Japanese artist Keiichi Tanaami hosted by NANZUKA and a group show by street artist Axel Void and VOID Projects.
There will also be gallery presentations from Subliminal Projects, Superchief Gallery, Pt.2 Gallery, First Amendment and Scott Campbell’s SAVED Gallery. Artist installations will include Marina Zumi, Nychos, Laurence Vallières, 1UP Crew and Martha Cooper, Dosshaus, Megan Massacre, James Joyce, Egle Zvirlblyte, Oliver Hawk Holden, Dennis McNett.
After taking in all the sights and purchasing some exclusive goods from the Juxtapoz Store, join us at 200 East Flagler Street to throw a few back at a special engagement sponsored by New Belgium Brewing! This all Mexico City group show will feature works by Paola Delfin, Maria Conejo, Christian Castañeda, Yanin Rubai, Minerva Ayón, Poni, Fusca, Monica Loya, Helena Volkva, Varenka Ruiz, Curiotli and Tellaeche.
In addition to all of the festivities, Juxtapoz will also be kicking off their 25th Anniversary with the Winter 2019 Quarterly at the Clubhouse!
