ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Jakprints-ALS-Ice-Bucket-Challenge-2

Okay, so it might be a little late, but our friends over at Go Media nominated us to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Not only did we boldly accept the challenge, but we put a Jakprints spin on it!

71c388780504549e46f235668ced0f7dOur very own Dan Byler not only participated in the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, but asked us to help donate to Cleveland musician Ken Janssen, who is battling ALS.  Ken’s family and friends participated in the Cleveland Walk to end ALS under the team name “It Don’t Quit.”  The walk, which took place September 21, raised over $500,000 for the ALS association. We are proud to have donated $500 toward a friend and a great cause!

We also got to print these awesome t–shirts worn by Angie Sirl’s team for the Akron Walk to Defeat ALS event, which took place September 14 and raised more than $145,000. The team, ALS is B.S., is for Angie’s husband Brian, and was their first year participating in the event. Visit the ALS is B.S. team on Facebook!

We love the idea of raising funds and awareness for an important cause, but in the environmentally–conscious Jakprints style of course. So, we decided to plant some trees in Cleveland while using our challenge to provide their first watering!
