At Jakprints, we practice what we preach and work to leave the Earth better than we found it through sustainable printing. In addition to aggressive recycling programs, we have some of the most sustainable printing methods in the industry.

But, any company can toss around green buzzwords; that’s why we’ve partnered with Trees for the Future to plant one tree with every order. They work with local farmers in Latin America, Africa and Asia to rebuild communities and cultivate more diverse, productive and healthy land. Since 2012, we’ve already planted over 200,000 trees — that’s more than one square mile of new forest.  Enough about us, you’re here for you aren’t you?

Ecological & Economical Are Not Mutually Exclusive

First, we should dispel the myth: You can combat waste and promote your business at the same time without sacrificing profitability. We’ve built our whole business on it.

• Our papers are only sourced from responsible growers in North America and Europe, who are either FSC, PEFC or SFI certified. So, even papers without a high PCW content are still awesome choices.
• All our offset inks are vegetable based, completely biodegradable and better for our employees than their petroleum-based counterparts.
• We offer excellent, water-based apparel inks for super-soft prints.

Paper

Let’s start with paper products. Sleep sound at night by choosing an environmentally-friendly paper stock. All of our standard house stocks are made from responsibly forested paper. For the eco-friendliest options, choose one made with high post-consumer waste (PCW) content.

• 13 pt. Uncoated (100% PCW)

• 12 pt. Uncoated (30% PCW)

• 12 pt. Gloss(10% PCW)

• 100# Uncoated (50% PCW)

• 100# Gloss (10% PCW)

Banners

Sometimes, smaller promotional pieces aren’t fit for what you’re trying to do. Upgrade your  custom banners with BIOflex. A high-quality, outdoor vinyl that — when exposed to landfill conditions of darkness, high heat and moisture — will break down into fertilizer and fuel within 3-5 years.

This biodegradable vinyl is indistinguishable from traditional vinyl. Custom banners made from BIOflex are tear, fade and fungus resistant and durable, just like other outdoor options.

Apparel

Many apparel options come in eco-friendly fabrics, like 100% organic cotton or even alternative fibers like bamboo and hemp, which only takes 1/20th the amount of water that it takes to grow conventional cotton. On our website, check out each apparel category’s “Eco-Friendly” section.
